Making Something Old, New.

The ancient custom of building a temporary structure to commemorate the Israelites journey through the wilderness is among the most sensory-filled and artistic expressions in Jewish tradition. This year, we invited community leaders from greater Boston to reflect on the meaning and importance of home. We are grateful to all those who opened their hearts to the project and shared their reflections with us. We hope you will take a moment to read their thoughts below and add your voice to the walls of our sukkah too.

Sukkah Art Installation

This year, we built a sukkah art installation on our front patio plaza with powerful quotes and reflections by people in our community in response to the question: “What does home mean to you?”

Explore our sukkah art installation during one of our fall programs or pop by between 11-1pm on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays from September 29 through November 10.

For more information about visiting our sukkah during open hours, please contact us at info@vilnashul.org.
