Event Description:

Reading and Understanding Basic Hebrew Blessings
This series of classes started on Thursday, July 8, 2010 but new students are welcome. The series will run through Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 10:00 - 11:00 am. This series will help improve your ability to recite and understand basic Hebrew prayers as it increases your reading fluency. Prayers for daily, Shabbat and holiday meals including the prayers over wine, challah, candles, and family will be studied. We will explore the vocabulary, grammar, and meaning of each blessing. Students should be able to recognize Hebrew letters and vowels. The suggested fee (payable to Rabbi Sam Seicol) is $15 per session or $90 (in advance) for the entire series. Additional donations to the Vilna Shul are always welcome.
Rabbi Seicol will be available after class for private consultation.
