THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT! Thank you for making your RSVPs.

The Vilna Shul is proud to present a special evening with Boston's beloved author,  Anita Diamant.

This is a unique opportunity to hear Anita speak about her latest best-selling novel, The Boston Girl, which chronicles the life of Addie Baum, born in 1915 to Jewish immigrants in the North End of Boston. Diamant, an internationally known author, will be joined in conversation with Brandeis Professor Ellen Smith, an expert in Boston Jewish history and co-author of The Jews of Boston. What better place to experience the story of The Boston Girl than at the Vilna Shul, built in 1919 in the West End? Please join us and immerse yourself in this important and fascinating era in Boston Jewish history.

Anita is the bestselling author of the New York Times bestseller The Red Tent as well as Good Harbor, The Last Days of Dogtown, and Day After Night, and the collection of essays, Pitching My Tent. Her writing has appeared in The Boston Globe Magazine and Parenting. She has also written several guides on navigating modern Jewish life.
