      <description><![CDATA[ <p>Join Havurah on the Hill for a lay-led, non-denominational Kabbalat Shabbat service in Vilna Shul’s historic sanctuary.&nbsp; After the service we will hear from guest speaker Israel Horovitz.&nbsp; Israel Horovitz is a playwright, director and actor. His plays have been translated into 30 languages and performed worldwide. One of his best known plays is Line (now in 36th year, Off Broadway), and he has won numerous awards including the OBIE (twice); the Prix de Plaisir du Théâtre; The Prix Italia (for radio plays); The Sony Radio Academy Award (for Man In Snow); and The Writers Guild of Canada Best Screenwriter Award.&nbsp; Mr. Horovitz is the Founding Artistic Director of Gloucester Stage in Gloucester, MA and of the New York Playwrights Lab. He is the father of film-producer Rachael Horovitz, TV producer/director Matthew Horovitz and Beastie Boy, Adam Horovitz.&nbsp; After the speaker please stay for a kosher buffet style dinner.
