Presentation and discussion on the Vilna Shul wall art

Event Description:
Ms.Dayl Cohen will lead a presentation and discussion of both the tradition and the context in which the Vilna Shul wall art evolved. She will present pictures of other wall art from Eastern Europe which was done for hundreds of years. Ms Cohen did her research as part of the requirements for her Master’s degree in Preservation Studies at Boston University in the Spring of 2009. This is the second in a series of lunch time lecture/discussions on the wall art restoration at the historic Vilna Shul. This free program will include a guided tour of the magnificent wall art restoration. Water, chips and brownies will be provided. please bring your own appropriate lunch.
