Event Description:

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Rabbi Michael Joel will lead a model Seder and workshop on March 17th at 7pm at the Vilna Shul, Boston’s Center for Jewish Culture on Beacon Hill. You’ll be given everything you need to recreate a great Passover experience at home. Special advice will be given to keep both young children and older guests enthralled at your Passover table.
Whether you are looking for a new take on the Passover Seder or participating in a Seder for the first time join us to meet new friends over a kosher chicken dinner- complete with matzah, the four cups of wine/grape juice and spirited singing of favorite Passover songs. Tickets to the model Seder are $36 per person and include dinner, a guide to preparing Passover foods, a Haggadah- the guide book for the Seder, and step by step instructions on how to lead a Seder with enthusiastic guest participation.
Rabbi Michael Joel specializes in explaining Jewish concepts in an inspirational, yet down to earth way. Raised in Milford, Massachusetts, Rabbi Joel got a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. After three years of working in high tech, he took a year leave of absence to study about Judaism in Israel. Surprising even himself, he stayed for eleven years of intense research to become a rabbi and Torah scholar. Last spring Rabbi Joel moved to Boston and founded the Boston Jewish Connection. Through Torah classes and Jewish events, the BJC reintroduces Jews to their heritage.
Rabbi Joel is married to Deborah, whom he met while she was vacationing in Israel. They have five young children. Their favorite hobby is hosting guests for Shabbat. The children guarantee an exciting Shabbat meal, with song and dance.
