Event Description:
Join Havurah on the Hill for a lay-led, non-denominational Kabbalat Shabbat service in Vilna Shul’s historic sanctuary. After the service we will hear from a guest speaker Joanna Lipper and then enjoy a kosher buffet style dinner.
Joanna Lipper is an author and filmmaker. She runs Sea Wall Entertainment, a company dedicated to the research, development and production of books and films. Joanna Lipper’s nationally acclaimed book on teen parents Growing Up Fast was published by Picador in 2003. Ms. Lipper’s public appearances include lectures on a range of issues relating to psychology, sociology and film. She is currently a Sheila Biddle Ford Foundation Fellow at the W.E.B Du Bois Institute at Harvard University.
