Event Description:
Join your Havurah on the Hill friends for a pre-High Holidays happy hour and shofar “blasting” session. Learn why we blow the shofar on the High Holidays and hone your shofar blowing skills. Answer High Holiday trivia questions and win prizes. Learn about some of the melodies sung during High Holiday services and hear tips for healthy fasting during Yom Kippur. Bring your own shofar or use one of ours. Wine and light hors d’oeuvres will be served. We’ll conclude with a shofar blowing competition. How long is your Tekiah Gedolah?
