In December, it is time to celebrate Chanukah on Shabbat! The evening will include Honorable Menschen, Boston's premiere post-collegiate Jewish a cappella group, which has become a tradition for December at Havurah on the Hill. This year we will take the event up a notch with a latke bar and a game night, featuring such holiday favorites as dreidel, Outburst, Cards Against Humanity, and more.

Havurah on the Hill is a non-denominational, egalitarian minyan for Jews in their 20s and 30s in the Boston area. HOH meets at the Vilna Shul in Beacon Hill, one of the last remaining synagogues from the early 20th century wave of Jewish immigration and hosts monthly Kabbalat Shabbat services as well as other special holiday celebrations throughout the year.  This musical inspired Shabbat features Chanukah music and food!

Schedule of Events:
6:30 PM – Appetizers and Schmoozing
7:00 PM – Shabbat Services
8:15 PM – Special Guests Honorable Menschen
8:45 PM – Latke bar, schmoozing, and games

Vilna and Havurah on the Hill will never turn anyone away for inability to pay. If you would like to attend but finances are of concern, please email Director of Communications and Community Outreach Lynne Krasker Schultz at lynne@vilnashul.org.

The Vilna Shul offers free parking with validation for Havurah on the Hill Friday night services. Parking validation is only good for the garage at the Charles River Plaza/Cambridge Street Garage at 165 Cambridge Street. This garage is between the Charles River Plaza Shopping Center (Whole Foods) and AU Bon Pain, and across from the Starbucks, near the intersection of Blosson Street and Cambridge Street. DO NOT ENTER THE WHOLE FOODS LOT - THE VILNA DOES NOT VALIDATE FOR THAT LOT. You will receive a green ticket upon entry. Any other color tickets cannot be validated.  Please visit our "Getting Here" page for more information on parking and transportation.
